Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank Joins the WFDB as Associate Member
Mizrahi-Tefahot, Israel’s third largest bank and the leading provider of credit to the Israeli diamond industry, has joined the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) as an Associate Member, granting it Observer status in various organizational forums. The bank is an important source of financing for the Israeli diamond industry.
The WFDB, which was founded in 1947 to protect the interests of diamond bourses and their members, is now seeking to broaden its influence and relevance by inviting leading non-bourse organizations in the global diamond and jewelry industries to its ranks. Mizrahi-Tefahot is the second bank to join the WFDB, after ABN-Amro, which is headquartered in Amsterdam.
WFDB Acting President Dvash said, “We are very pleased to have Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank join the World Federation of Diamond Bourses as an Associate Member. Mizrahi-Tefahot is an integral part of the diamond industry in Israel. Throughout the years it has enabled the diamond industry to continue to enjoy available credit and has made a very significant contribution to the industry. We believe that as stakeholders in this industry, it is very important that they join us at the WFDB table.”
