Petra Finds an Exceptional 342.92-carat Diamond at Cullinan
Petra Diamonds has recovered a 342.92-carat Type IIa white rough diamond at its Cullian mine in South Africa, IDEX Online reports.
According to Petra, the diamond has “exceptional” colour and clarity, and it will likely be offered for sale at the company’s September tender.
Last March, Pera sold a 299.3-carat white Type IIa gem for $12.18 to Stargems DMCC, Dubai-based arm of the Antwerp diamond supplier. In July, the miner sold a 39.34-carat blue rough diamond, also from Cullinan, for $40 million to a De Beers/Diacore partnership
