Alrosa commits $2.7m to build houses in Yakutia after forest fires
Diamond miner Alrosa has committed about $2.7-million for the construction of houses in the Byas-Kyuel village in the Gorny district of Yakutia, Russia, which has been impacted by forest fires. “Alrosa is working closely with the Yakut government at this difficult time for the region, providing any help it can. We hope that these funds will enable local communities to soon resume their lives as normal and provide them with support at this difficult time,” says Alrosa CEO Sergey Ivanov.
