BlueRock Diamonds: Kareevlei Can Achieve 90,000 Tons A Month

South Africa’s BlueRock Diamonds has said that results of a two-month test to determine the realistic capacity of the Kareevlei diamond plant show that “production of just below 90 000 tons a month is achievable, in line with previous guidance.”

Mining in October and November yielded an “average grade of 4.4 carats per hundred tonnes, with the largest diamond recovered weighing 10.2 carats,” according to the report.

BlueRock Diamonds expects to provide a production update for the full year during the first quarter of 2023.
