Nowadays, solitaire rings with plain bands that have a more understated, simple look are very popular. At Lauren B, we can take your center stone and easily reset it into a plain, solitaire setting.

How Are Lauren B Settings Made?

Unlike most other jewelers who rely on precast settings, which are mass-produced or assembled from machine-made parts, we take a completely different approach. Precast designs are often welded together and presented as a finished product, limiting customization and individuality. 

In contrast, at Lauren B, all of our rings are handmade in New York City, ensuring they are never mass-produced or precast. Each ring is crafted to perfectly fit the exact dimensions of your diamond and reflect your unique design preferences, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

In-Store vs. Out-of-State:

We offer both in-store and out-of-state diamond resetting services:

  • If you live in the Tri-State Area, you can drop off your ring with us at our showroom. Schedule an appointment to come in, meet with a design consultant, and decide on your new design. You can leave your diamond or ring with us and we will take care of the rest.
  • If you cannot make it to our showroom, you can ship your ring to us and we will reset the ring for you! You can meet one-on-one with one of our design consultants virtually to design your new setting and ship your stone or ring to us when you are ready!

Will My Lauren B Setting Sit Flush With My Wedding Band?

We guarantee our settings are precise using exact dimensions when we reset your diamond. Since all of our rings are handmade, we are able to make our settings very precise, helping to emphasize the true beauty of your diamond.  

You may also choose to drop off or send your wedding band along with your engagement ring for resetting. Giving us your wedding band as we work on your new engagement ring will assist in making sure your engagement ring sits flush with your wedding band.

Will My Diamond Fit in a Lauren B Halo? 

All of our halos at Lauren B are individually crafted with precise measurements by our master jeweler, tailored to your center stone only. Unlike mass-produced settings, each halo is specifically designed to enhance the symmetry of the diamond you wish to reset.

This personalized approach guarantees that the center stone will fit into its new halo, creating a flawless appearance–it will not look mismatched or out of place in its new setting. By focusing on precision, your reset diamond will complement and accentuate the secure, custom-made halo without looking awkward.

How Do I Get Started?

Here are a few steps to get started with the diamond resetting process with Lauren B:

Initial Appointment: Make an appointment with one of our design consultants, either in person or virtually. This will give us a chance to connect and discuss your design ideas. If you have already been in contact with a design consultant, you can email them directly or email info@laurenb.com.

Turnaround Time: As soon as we have your stone and a deposit is placed, it takes us about 3-4 weeks to reset your diamond.

Alternate Center Stone Options: We would also be happy to mount a moissanite, cubic zirconia, or another gemstone in the original setting if you like.

*All original settings will be returned to you when the design process is complete.
