Your Guide to Engagement Ring & Wedding Band Pairing
Congratulations! You’re engaged! Next comes all the excitement of wedding planning but first, you and your partner have to find the perfect wedding bands to tie the knot. If you’re not sure where to start, keep reading for some helpful suggestions!
The Simple Pairing
If you’re looking for something classic and simple to add to your ring stack, you can never go wrong with a simple pave band. The thin band, adorned with small diamonds, is a great choice if you want to add more sparkle without taking any focus away from your engagement ring.
Additionally, pave bands can be used as spacer bands between your engagement ring and other rings, they can be stacked to create a more dramatic and sparkly look, and/or worn as standalone rings.

The Fancy Pairing
If you have a fancy-shape engagement ring (any shape but round) and you want to add some serious glam to your stack, this is the pairing for you.
In order to nail that wow factor, we recommend choosing a halfway, three-quarter, or eternity band with the same shape as your engagement ring. For example, if you have a radiant cut engagement ring, opt for a radiant cut wedding band. This gives your ring stack a cohesive and thought-out look while also maximizing your sparkle and drama.
If you choose to just wear your wedding ring, fancy shape bands are also great standalone pieces!

The Modern Pairing
Any bezel set band looks stunning against a plain solitaire engagement ring and adds contrast. The metal border around each stone adds some dimensions and emphasizes the metal color, especially in yellow or rose gold styles!
Another benefit to bezel settings is that they help protect the diamond by confining it within a secure metal setting.; any incidental contact is less likely to loosen or dislodge a stone. A bezel setting also adds a clean, sleek look to diamonds and gemstones of various shapes and sizes, making them extremely versatile for everyday use.

The Classic Pairing
A platinum round diamond solitaire ring will forever be a classic engagement ring style. The simplicity of a round diamond is beautiful in and of itself but paired with a platinum band, the mastery behind ring-making can really shine through. After all, classics are classics for a reason.
Another classic wedding band style is our Gemma band, otherwise known as a closed basket eternity band. With a simple and to-the-point design, our Gemma band is the epitome of a classic diamond wedding band. Customizable and in stock in several carat weights, this band matches perfectly with any size engagement ring.

The Contrast Pairing
Mixing metals used to be taboo; most people choose one metal color and stick to it. Nowadays, mixing metals has become somewhat of a trend. After all, why stick to just one metal when you can mix and match and play around with color!
There are endless possibilities when it comes to mixing your ring metals. If you’re looking for more contrast between your rings, you can opt for a platinum or white gold engagement ring and pair it with a yellow gold wedding band. If you’re looking for a warmer pairing, consider a yellow gold engagement ring with a rose gold wedding band. Whichever way you mix and match, it’s bound to look great and trendy!
Additionally, another trend we’ve been noticing is two-tone engagement rings! What better way to pick up the detailing of a two-tone engagement ring than by pairing it with a wedding band that highlights the detailed metal color.

The Three-Stone Pairing
Pairing a wedding band with a 3 stone ring can be tricky! Some clients feel like a stack is a little too much, therefore many opt to wear their wedding band on their right hand instead of their ring finger!
A three-stone emerald diamond ring looks absolutely stunning on its own, no band is needed. If you want to stack a wedding band on the same finger, a more delicate band will sit flush. Alternatively, wearing a matching emerald cut eternity band on the right hand really ties together and balances out the look.
