New LAB Ready Rings Just Dropped

New engagement rings just dropped in our bestselling collection, LAB Ready! Can you spot your dream ring in the mix?

What Are Lab-Grown Diamonds?

Yes, lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds; the only difference between natural and lab-grown diamonds is where they each form: natural diamonds are formed in the Earth and lab-grown diamonds are formed, you guessed it, in a lab!

The Federal Trade Commission and GIA, the highest authority in diamonds, have both ruled that lab-created diamonds are real diamonds. Lab-created diamonds and natural diamonds have the exact same chemical properties and cannot be differentiated without the use of a microscope by a trained gemologist.

If you’re still wondering if you should consider opting for a lab-grown diamond engagement ring, read our blog about Why You Should Go Lab-Grown.

New Round Rings

While round engagement rings will always be in the top three bestselling diamond shapes, we’ve recently introduced an alternative to the round brilliant diamond ring: the Old Euro engagement ring. The main difference between the two cuts is that Old European Rounds have deeper cuts with a smaller table, higher crown, and a larger, open culet. If you’re interested in learning more about the differences between Old Europeans and Round Brilliants, read our blog Diamonds 101: The Round Cut.

In this drop of new LAB Ready rings, we’ve introduced a couple Old Euro rings as well as Round Brilliant rings.

New Radiant Rings

Coming in second on our most popular shapes of the year, radiant cuts are just as popular as they are brilliant. With 70 intricate facets, radiants are one of the most brilliant rings with the most fire, second only to round brilliants. Radiant rings boast a great combination of excellent finger coverage and sparkle–probably why they are a client favorite! New Cushion Cut Rings

A timeless and trustworthy shape, cushion cut diamonds are ultra-feminine, soft, and delicate with their namesake pillow-like shape. Its soft shape and unique ability to be a square or elongated cut double its chances of being chosen by brides to be.

Additionally, cushion cuts, like round cuts, also have different cut styles that make them popular among clients. The most common is the Brilliant Cushion Cut, made up of 58 facets—the same as the round brilliant. Recently, we’ve also introduced Antique Cushion Cuts to our inventory. Antique cushions, or Old Mines, are characterized by their crisp, chunky facets that have a dome-like appearance. These facets are larger than brilliant cut facets, which results in a more substantial sparkle.

New Emerald-Cut Rings

Emerald cuts feature step-cut faceting meaning their faceting is parallel. They have an open table that allows you to look clearly into the diamond. For these reasons, emerald cut diamonds lack the fire and brilliance of other shapes. However, the elongated shape allows for larger flashes of sparkle when light rays reflect through them.

Emerald cut engagement rings are both elegant and sophisticated with perfect symmetry. Emerald cuts are often paired with either baguette or trapezoid side stones for a beautiful three-stone engagement ring or left on their own as the cut itself is so striking!

If you’re looking for an engagement ring that signifies elegance and beauty, look no further than the emerald cut! To learn more, read Diamonds 101: The Emerald Cut. Check out some of our new emerald cut additions to our LAB Ready Collection.

New Pear-Shaped Rings

Pear-shaped diamonds are like snowflakes: no two pear-shaped diamonds are cut the same way! Every single pear-shaped diamond is completely different and unique. This center-stone shape provides optimal finger coverage and will appear larger than most other shapes.

Pear-shaped diamonds, also referred to as teardrops, can be described as a brilliant-cut hybrid between an oval and marquise shape. If you want a traditional diamond cut with a little bit of an edge, consider a pear-shaped diamond as your center stone. If you’re still unsure, read our blog Diamonds 101: The Pear Shape to learn all about pear shapes and some of their most popular settings.
